ARC Race – 03 December 2014
On Wednesday 03 December Leopard took Line Honours for the 2014 ARC Race (IRC Racing Division) crossing the finish line off Rodney Bay, St.Lucia at 01:09:51 UTC.
In an elapsed time of 8d 14h 39m 51s, this sets a new record for the 2700 nautical mile course, which has been run for over 30 years. Leopard's time beat the previous record by 2d 6h 45m 19s.
Leopard's top speed for the trip was 32.6 knots and the boat consistently averaged in excess of 20 knots.
Leopard now holds four Transatlantic records all noted below.

JP Morgan Round the Island Race Record – 01 June 2013
On Saturday o1 June, ICAP Leopard broke the JP Morgan Round the Island Race record for the fastest monohull to circumnavigate the Isle of Wight. Crossing the race finish line at 08:43:50 (local), Mike Slade and the crew of ICAP Leopard shaved 9 minutes and 45 seconds off their own record set back in 2008.
In her usual style, ICAP Leopard was skippered by owner Mike Slade, with an impressive professional line-up of sailors on board for the race. The Leopard3 racing team have now broken this monohull record on five separate occasions, firstly in 1991 racing Ocean Leopard, aboard Hoya Longobarda in 1996, in 2001 aboard Leopard of London circumnavigating the island in 4 hours, 5 minutes and 40 seconds and finally on ICAP Leopard in 2008 in 3 hours, 56 minutes and 3 seconds.

The Transatlantic Superyacht & Maxi Regatta – 03 December 2012
Leopard and her crew stormed across the finish line in Virgin Gorda in the BVI's to smash course record from Tenerife to Virgin Gorda in 7 days, 8 hours, 59 minutes, 12 seconds.
'Ran Leopard' helmed by Niklas Zennström with Adrian Stead on tactics and an 18-strong professional crew, crossed the finish line off Virgin Gorda shortly after 10 pm UTC on the 3rd of December after covering 3,300 miles at an average speed of 18.6 knots.
The new course record beats the previous one set by Hetairos in 2011 by 25 hours, 59 minutes and 18 seconds.

Heineken Cape to Bahia Race – 20 January 2009
ICAP Leopard Takes Line Honours in Heineken Cape To Bahia Race.
Today, 100ft British supermaxi yacht ICAP Leopard, owned by Mike Slade, took line honours in the Heineken Cape to Bahia Race, setting a new course record. Having left Cape Town on 10th January, she crossed the finish line off the coast of Salavador de Bahia, Brazil, at 17:46:35 (UTC), completing the 3,330 nautical mile course in just 10 days, 5 hours, 46 minutes and 35 seconds. ICAP Leopard's closest rival Rambler was approximately 230 nautical miles behind when she crossed the finish line in light and tricky conditions.
Cowes – Dinard – St Malo Race – 11 July 2008
Another one on the mantlepiece for ICAP Leopard in the RORC's Cowes-Dinard-St Malo race.
Mike Slade and his crew were the first to finish the race in the early hours of Saturday morning (12th July), breaking the race record with an elapsed time of 14 hours, 7 minutes and 42 seconds. The previous speed record was set in 2000 by Leopard's predecessor, Leopard of London.
BMW Round Ireland Record – 25 June 2008
Crossing the finish line off Wicklow at 05:48:47 on Wednesday 25 June, ICAP Leopard knocked 10 hours, 35 minutes and 10 seconds off the previous BMW Round Ireland Race record previously set by Colm Barrington in 1998. ICAP Leopard has set a new milestone for the 704 mile course of 65 hours 48 minutes 47 seconds completing a hat trick of recent records that includes the Fastnet Race and the Transatlantic Speed Record.
Transatlantic Speed Sailing Record – 03 June 2008
On Tuesday 03 June, ICAP Leopard smashed the Transatlantic Speed Sailing record finishing the 2,925 nautical mile crossing from New York to the Lizard in 7 days, 19 hours and 21 minutes shaving 8 hours off the existing record, to claim her second world record in two years.
ICAP Leopard sailed at an average speed of 15.5 knots, and a top speed of 37.4 knots, to complete the Atlantic crossing. She crossed the finish line at the Lizard at 19:22:05 GMT (20:22:05 local BST), having started the record attempt off Ambrose Light, New York, at 00:01 GMT on Tuesday 27th May. The record she has broken, for a monohull yacht with power-assisted winches, was previously held by 246 foot yacht Phocea who sailed the course in eight days, three hours and 29 minutes.
